What Size Do You Need?

Until you shop for one, you may not realize all the choices you have to choose. Which brand is best? What size do you need? What extra features should you look for? These camping toilets come in lots of different sizes and with several different options, so we’re here to help you make the right decision by educating you on your choices before you begin shopping. Here’s some information about these toilets for camping that you may need to know in order to make the best possible choice for you and your family.

Which brand is best? There are lots of great brand names that make flushable camping toilets, but some are, of course, a little better known than others. If you’re concerned about brand names, the best thing you can do is to check out reviews of portable flush toilets to see which ones get the best marks for quality and extra features. Really, brand name doesn’t matter nearly as much as the quality of the build and the features you’ll get with different types of portable toilets, so looking for these things in user reviews can help you make a better choice.

What size portable flush toilet do you need? This can be a tricky question. Many people just don’t understand how heavy a full eighteen liter toilet can be! Every time you look at a different portable flush toilet, make sure you see how large the clean and dirty tanks on the toilet are. Ideally, you’ll want to empty your tank and fill your clean tank no more than once a day, but you also don’t want to have to lug a super-heavy full tank to a waste receptacle to empty it.

If you’re going to be able to empty your toilet easily – such as when you’re staying in a campground with a nearby waste disposal station – a smaller toilet, like a 2 – 3 gallon waste capacity, is probably a better option. If your group is larger, say 5 people or more, or you will be in the more remote locations, you may need a larger capacity toilet, but one that you can empty without emptying the entire thing.

How often will you be using your flush toilet? What if you’re staying at a campground for a few days, or even a week? You may need a smaller toilet, since you’ll have to bring it in with you. But if you’re only staying for a week, even a smaller toilet like a 2 – 3 gallon waste capacity should be fine.

Are you willing to spend the money on a portable flush toilet? These come in all different sizes and prices, so if you are planning for regular use, as opposed to occasional use, you will want to make sure you have the right type for your needs.

Make sure your portable flush toilet is easy to clean and has a tank you can fill with recommended liquid, and bring extra fuel bottles for when the supply of liquid breaks. These aren’t necessarily must-have features, but they’re definitely helpful, and therefore warrant additional thought.

Are you willing to spend the time to learn more about portable flush toilets? Good for you! As someone who has become thoroughly familiar with these sorts of things, I’ve found that the best folding portable flush toilet is actually quite simple to set up, so I encourage you to do a little research before you make your final decision.

The lake is huge! Well half of it isdry and the other half is a reservoir. It has caves and canyons along the rocks. So we decided to put a log cabin on it. It looks like it has been around since the Cretaceous era. Some formations are even older than that. Dinosaurs lived here. Probably more that 100 million years ago. There are ancient trees that have been found here. The rim of the canyon is about level and gives views of the whole area. Unfortunately, the water levels are so crazy here that rafting is not that much of a possibility most of the year. However, in some sections, R2R2R can be driven into the canyon. Pile up the cash for a rafting trip and head to this great Mormon tucked canyon.
